WORCESTER AIRPORT VIDEO

One thousand foot high Worcester Airport has been hampered by safety zone issues due to impacts of roads and steep slopes.  E.T.& L. Corp. constructed Worcester’s second EMAS (Engineered Materials Arresting System) during an 85 day schedule in 2009 for the Mass Port Authority and the City of Worcester.  This fast track $2.8 million project was completed by the company ahead of schedule and now provides a method to stop run-a-way aircraft that may overshoot Runway 11 at the west end of Worcester Airport’s main runway.
