Bridge Work

Whether people are going over them or under them; whether traveling in a car, on a boat, or by foot; the bridges of our cities and towns keep us connected to each other. E.T.& L. has participated in Massachusetts’ program for rebuilding its bridges and infrastructure across the state, working for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Highway Division, as well as municipalities and private clients.

Engineering expertise in bridge building makes E.T.& L. very competitive in this field. Drawing upon decades of bridge work, E.T.& L. is able to use this experience to assist private owners and engineers in pre-planning and design stages of a project. This experience also enables E.T.& L. to offer cost saving engineered alternatives for ongoing projects. The Company performs its own demolition, earth support, pile driving, excavation and concrete work. Thus, we are able to closely control the project costs and schedule to accommodate a particular owner’s needs. The Company has built many different types of bridges in both configuration and material. Its projects have included both steel and precast box beam bridges, with single spans measuring up to 112 feet and overall lengths greater than 800 feet, over water, other roadways and active railroads. E.T.& L. has been successfully building bridges since the early 1970s and will continue doing so to ensure our bridges are safe for future generations.
