In September, 2018, E.T.& L. Corp was low bidder on a project to replace the Route 140 (Boylston Street) bridge over I-290. The existing two-span, continuous steel plate girder superstructure with a reinforced concrete slab is proposed to be replaced with a similar two-span continuous steel plate girder superstructure. In August, 2019, E.T.& L. Corp. was awarded a $747,000 project for the Town of Bolton to make roadway and safety improvements in the area of the intersection of Route 117 and Wattaquadock Hill Road. This is a trouble spot which backs up westbound traffic to beyond Route 495 each night. This project hopes to help alleviate this congestion. In January, 2019, E.T.& L. Corp. was low bidder on a $3.2 million MassDOT project to construct two shared use paths in Amesbury and Salisbury, as well as make improvements to the City of Amesbury Visitor’s Center. Work on the Ghost Trail Extension involves constructing a new shared use path from the existing crosswalk on Elm Street in Amesbury, under I-95 through an existing culvert, to the intersection of the existing Ghost Trail with Rabbit Road in the Town of Salisbury. In January of 2018, the State of Connecticut through ConnDOT awarded E.T.& L. Corp. with a $6 million project to horizontally and vertically realign a portion of S.R. 740 (Brushy Plain Road/Totoket Road) within the area known as “Snake Hill” in the towns of Branford and North Branford. The realignment will remove four sharp, substandard horizontal curves and lower the steep grade of the existing roadway to 10%. E.T. & L. Corp. was low bidder in May 2018 on a project for the City of Springfield Department of Public Works. The $3 million project is the rehabilitation of the Springfield Flood Protection System along the Connecticut River.
