E.T.& L. Corp. will be undertaking Phase IV of a four phase project at the New Bedford Regional Airport; construction work is anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2014 and is scheduled to end in the Fall of 2014. The contract work consists of the reconstruction of Runway 5-23 along with its associated runway/ taxiway intersections, including: pavement milling and reclamation, full depth runway extensions, drainage improvements, runway lighting and signage, NAVAID improvements, and runway approach clearing. Runway 5 will be extended approximately 200 feet to the south and Runway 23 will be extended about 200 feet to the north. Taxiway A will also be extended. The contract value of the project is $11,490,640 and all work involving runway shutdowns will be completed in 130 calendar days.
