Sudbury - Intersection of Route 27 and Concord Road

The Town of Sudbury awarded a $2.1 million contract to E.T.& L. Corp. to improve the important intersection of Hudson Road, Old Sudbury Road (Route 27) and Concord Road in the picturesque historic Sudbury Center District. This project was designed to improve traffic flow as well as vehicular and pedestrian safety while maintaining the quaint charm of this town center location.

The work of this project includes installation of new ornamental traffic signals at the intersection, roadway widening along the approaches, full depth pavement reconstruction, box widening and realignment, and paving with hot mix asphalt pavement. Installation of granite curbing and granite edging, cement concrete wheelchair ramps and hot mix asphalt sidewalks and driveways is also included. The closed roadway drainage systems including two new detention basins, will also be replaced; landscaping, pavement markings and signs will complete the project.

Work on the project began this spring and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2015.
