In May of 2023, E.T.& L. Corp. was the low bidder for the Reconstruction of Taxiway B South at Westfield-Barnes Airport in Westfield, MA. This $29.78 million, multi-phase project for the City of Westfield started in the Spring of 2024 with a total project duration of 234 calendar days. The project scope included the removal and relocation of Taxiway B South, with two tie-ins to an active runway and one tie into an active taxiway, during which crews worked nights and sometimes 24/7 until completion. Along with the 100,000+ cubic yards of material  handled, the crews from E.T.& L. installed over 10,000 feet of drainage improvements and two very large underground detention systems all while the electrical subcontractor installed  over 20,000 feet of conduit and 200+ edge lights. The finished product consists of 42,000 tons of asphalt pavement and a 25,000 square yard concrete pad used by the Air National Guard 104th Fighter Wing.
