In 2016, E.T.& L. Corp. was awarded the Phase 5 Landfill Expansion project at the Integrated Solid Waste Management Facility off McArthur Boulevard in Bourne, MA.  The project consisted of a 3.5 acre double composite liner expansion of the existing landfill.  The proposed construction was on top of an existing capped landfill area and formed an extension of the existing landfill liner system.  The liner system was comprised of a 12” layer of low permeable soils, a layer of secondary geosynthetic clay liner, a layer of secondary 60 mil geomembrane liner, a geocomposite drainage layer, a layer of primary geosynthetic clay liner, a primary 60 mil geomembrane liner, and an 18” drainage layer of sand.  The construction also included the extension of the leachate collection system.
