Location: COLRAIN, MA

In the Spring of 2016, E.T.& L. Corp. was awarded a $9.5 million, multi-span bridge project in Colrain, MA. The project consisted of replacing the existing Jacksonville Road Bridge over the North River, as well as the reconstruction of a portion of Jacksonville Road. The existing bridge had 5 spans with a total length of 275 feet and was replaced by a 4 span, 302 foot length structure with new concrete abutments and piers. The work was constructed in two stages, with one lane of travel in each direction controlled by temporary traffic signals at each end of the bridge. The project also involved the replacement of an existing 4 foot by 3 foot, three-sided culvert with a 165 LF, 5 foot by 3 foot reinforced concrete box culvert, crossing Route 112 in Colrain Center south of the Bridge.
