In April 2019, E.T.& L. Corp. was awarded a MassDOT project to replace the Berkshire School Road Bridge over Schenob Brook in Sheffield, MA. The $3.2 million project included removal and replacement of the existing bridge substructure, superstructure, and reconstruction of the approach roadways, including a precast concrete retaining wall. The profile of Berkshire School Road has been raised and required a full-depth roadway reconstruction to extend out from the bridge, to maintain the low chord elevation. The work under the contract included excavation, full depth pavement construction, curbing installation, highway guardrail, pavement markings, concrete sidewalk, precast concrete moment slabs, prefabricated engineered wall system, and bridge construction.
