In the Spring of 2018, E.T.& L. Corp. was awarded a $600,000 job in Southwick, MA to replace the Shurtleff Brook Bridge on North Loomis Street. The bridge, which was originally constructed in or around 1914, was replaced with a new bridge that accommodates 2-way vehicular traffic, with shoulders for pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The bridge replacement was carried out using a roadway closure with detour and accelerated bridge construction techniques during several weeks in August of 2018. The completed bridge and roadway was open to two lanes of traffic before public school began it’s new school year.
