Wheelabrator awarded E.T.& L. Corp. a $5.7 million project for the Section VI, Stage 3 and Section VII baseliner systems at the Shrewsbury Landfill. The project included the construction of a 13 acre landfill expansion. It consisted of excavating and placing 144,000 cubic yards of earth for the new cell containment berms along with the placement of 12” of low permeability soil layer, furnishing and installation of a geosynthetic base liner, furnishing and installation of a 12” drainage layer, furnishing and installation of a leachate collection system and the construction of a leachate pump station.
