In September of 2022, E.T.& L. Corp. was low bidder on a $3 million MassDOT project for the reconstruction of the unsignalized intersection of Greenville Road (Route 31) at Turnpike Road in Ashby, Massachusetts. The work provided safety and operational improvements by constructing a roundabout at the intersection. The work consisted of full-depth reconstruction and approach realignment, installation of granite curbing, construction of medians and splitter islands, drainage improvements, culvert replacement, construction of stormwater treatment, pavement markings and the provision of safety controls and signing for construction operations and other incidental items. This project was within the buffer zones of natural watercourses and bordering vegetated wetlands. Erosion control barriers were installed to protect and prevent encroachment into environmentally sensitive areas. Work was completed in November of 2023.
