In 2017, the City of Southbridge awarded E.T.& L. Corp. a half a million dollar million project to reconstruct a portion of Upper Chestnut Street from Warren Street just beyond Cisco Street.  The project involved excavation, grading, drainage system improvements, water main and service replacements, concrete sidewalk, granite curb, loam and seed, reclamation and paving.
