The work includes pavement reconstruction, hot mix asphalt and cement concrete sidewalk construction, granite curbing installation, pavement mill and overlay, soldier pile and lagging retaining wall construction, guardrail installation, stormwater drainage system construction, hydrant relocations, water and sewer main replacement, traffic signs and pavement marking installation, tree removal and tree protection, erosions controls, and temporary traffic controls. The replacement of the two retaining walls, which support Bridge Street and Crescent Street, include demolition of the existing deteriorating retaining walls.
Utility work will begin in the summer of 2025 with the full replacement of the sewer and water infrastructure. Work on this project is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2028.
